Take care of the skin you're in! Most skin cancers are caused by too much exposure to UV (ultraviolet) light. Protection from UV rays is important all year long. Tips for staying safe this summer: Wear protective clothing and a hat with an all-around brim when out in the sun. Protect your eyes from UV rays with sunglasses. Check the expiration date of your sunscreen. Use one with a broad spectrum, and an SPF of 15 or higher. Reapply sunscreen after 2 hours and after swimming, sweating, or toweling off.
