Heather Johnson is the Minority Health Project Coordinator at East Central District Health Department. Prior to ECDHD, Heather held positions in homeless prevention, youth development, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, medical administration as well as business ownership.
She has volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America, the local food and clothing pantry and various youth organizations. Heather is passionate about doing her part to contribute to the needs of the community.
Heather’s education includes: a BS in Sociology from Fort Hays State University, an AAS in Medical Office Technology from Kilian Community College and certificates in Grant Writing, Women & Gender Studies, and numerous health certificates.
In her spare time, she enjoys canning, reading, and spending time with family especially her granddaughters.
